Children’s Ministry Names – Some Ideas

by admin on September 23, 2009

I’ve written about Children’s Ministry names before, but that was more of a post about the types of names. This time I’m just going to punch out a list of names for Children’s Church right off the top of my head. I cannot confirm or deny if any of these are original or in use somewhere. These are simply offered out of a desire to help those who are searching for Children’s Ministry Names.

my wife and I actually did a Sunday night program that I called UpStreet (one word with the capital "S" just like you have here!). i created a one-way street sign pointing straight up with UpStreet underneath. at first i thought it pretty dang creative, then came to dislike it over time. glad to see someone with the creative juices you have thought the same thing!

I always use the Z when I use kids.. I always say Kidz, cause that’s how I pronounce it in AL! Lol, but I liked these names!

You have some good ideas – would like to hear more! I have been reading lots of ideas – and putting lots of things down on paper from off the top of my head, but still not satisfied. I am searching for something that says “Here’s a great spot for kids to get to know Jesus!” in 2 or 3 words! I thought about JC Kid’s Place – or JC Kid’s Spot … and even wondered about things like WONDER-FULL Kid’s or Child STARS and lots more! Any thoughts?
Many thanks,

Hello! I am looking for a solid name for the entire children’s ministry at our church. I really like the whole acronym thing we have going already. I would love to see more ideas! To add, I thought I could give you a few ideas that were thought up at the Sanctuary for the individual classrooms.

GLL – God’s Lil’ Lambs (pre k – kindergarten)
KUC – Kids Under Construction ( 1st – 3rd)
HH – Hungry Hearts (4th and 5th)
ATF – Against the Flow (6th and 7th)

Thank you,
